Chartered Financial Planner

Paul is one of the most highly-qualified financial planners in the UK. With over 25 years experience as an Independent Financial Adviser, Paul’s core areas of expertise include investment portfolio planning, pensions and estate planning.

He is a former President (2008/09) of the UK’s Personal Finance Society (PFS), the leading professional body for financial advisers, with over 35,000 members.

He is a part-time lecturer on the University of Dundee's Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and regularly contributes articles and comment in the financial press.

Paul lives in Dundee with his wife and their four children.

Alistair is a highly qualified Chartered Financial Planner. Before joining the financial services industry, Alistair held senior management positions in the engineering sector.

Having completed the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, Alistair is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Alistair hold the Advanced Pensions qualification. He has also completed additional qualifications in Mortgage Advice and Long Term Care.

Alistair lives in Dundee with his wife, Petra and their two young children, and enjoys training for and racing in triathlons.

Pauline joined Verus in 2009 as a Financial Planner supporting the advice process through research and analysis of clients’ financial positions.

Prior to joining Verus, Pauline held many roles within Customer Services and Technical Support with Standard Life.

Pauline lives in Dundee with her husband, David and their two boys. Outside of work Pauline is involved in Scouting and is a Cub Scout Leader.

Linsey joined Verus in 2017 prior to which she worked as an Economist within Financial Services for more than ten years. A Masters graduate, Linsey has achieved Chartered Financial Planner status and also holds the Advanced Pensions qualification. She also specialises in designing sustainable and ethical investment solutions for clients.

Linsey lives in Broughty Ferry with her husband, two girls and three Labradors. She enjoys walking her dogs, going to the gym and is a former Scotland hockey internationalist.

Hannah graduated from the University of Dundee with an accountancy degree (with First Class Honours) in 2017 and holds the Diploma in Financial Planning.

Hannah is a natural “people person” and she’s also a massive animal lover. Hannah enjoys long walks with Polly, her beloved shipoo as well as boxing, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Jo joined Verus in 2016. She is an experienced Financial Planning Administrator, having formally fulfilled this role for IFA practices in Peterhead and Aberdeen before moving to the Dundee area.

Jo has an eagerness to learn and is studying towards the Certificate in Financial services. She enjoys the varied nature of her role with Verus and is constantly developing new skills.

In her spare time Jo enjoys going to the gym, exploring the great outdoors with her dog Rolo and snowboarding in the winter months.

Gillian has worked in financial services for over 30 years. During this time she has embraced the role as Client Services Assistant.

She has a vast amount of experience and really enjoys liaising with clients and helping to deliver a great service. Gillian has worked with Verus since it was founded in August 2005 and has worked with Paul for over 25 years.

Gillian assists at various stages of the financial planning and advice process.

Gillian lives in Dundee and is married to Craig. They have two grown-up boys, a dog and a rabbit!
